In unprecedented news, Sony Pictures and director Ridley Scott will cut Kevin Spacey ENTIRELY out of the upcoming J. Paul Getty drama ‘All the Money in the World’. Christopher Plummer has been hired to replace Spacey in the role of J. Paul Getty and Plummer will film all of Spacey’s scenes in re-shoots in the upcoming weeks. Spacey’s role, though integral, was supposedly only 8-10 days of filming according to set reports.
Scott reportedly made the decision on his own and notified the studio this afternoon according to The Hollywood Reporter. Plummer was reportedly Scott’s original choice to play the part but the studio wanted a bigger name.
The film is still expected to hit cinemas on December 22nd.
