IKEA is making a change. They have set 2020 as the target for eliminating all single-use plastic products from their home furnishing range. This is part of their global commitment to the environment, which includes looking for new ways to work with renewable and recycled materials and prolonging the life of products and materials. Straws, plates, cups, freezer bags, garbage bags and plastic-coated paper plates and cups are on the list. They will also phase out single-use plastics used in restaurants, bistros and cafes by the end of next year.
