Hurricane Michael Is Expected To Slam Into Florida By Tomorrow

People from Alabama to Florida are bracing for Hurricane Michael. Michael is forecast to become a major hurricane by today or tonight and should make landfall tomorrow afternoon or evening.  “Michael could produce three life-threatening hazards along portions of the northeastern Gulf Coast: storm surge, heavy rainfall and hurricane-force winds,” according to the National Hurricane Center.   A hurricane watch has been posted for the Florida Gulf Coast, all the way from the Alabama border to the Suwannee River in Florida.  A storm surge of up to 12 feet is forecast for a large section of the Florida coast. Governor Rick Scott called Michael a “monstrous hurricane” and has declared a state of emergency for 35 Florida counties from the Panhandle to Tampa Bay.
