It was a tense situation in parts of the Caribbean yesterday, where a lot of Canadians happen to be vacationing right now. A magnitude 7.6 earthquake struck in the Caribbean Sea north of Honduras. The U.S. National Tsunami Warning Center warns of tsunami dangers in Puerto Rico, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and a few other islands, including the coast of Central America. There are no early reports of damage on land. Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez said via Twitter in Spanish that Honduras had activated its emergency system and asked people to remain calm.
