Drake Breaks The Beatles Record With 7 of The Top 10 Songs On The Billbaod Hot 100

Back in the 60’s there was Beatlemania and now in 2018 “DrakeMania” is running wild! From attracting Millions of dollars in tourism to Toronto aka “The 6” to breaking streaming records and now Drizzy has established a new record with 7 songs inside the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 whidch has stood since the The Beatles had 5 but  John, Paul, George and Ringo remain the only act to own the entire top five in a week. 54 years ago “The Fab” 4 dominated the chart with Number 1 to Number 5 includuing “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “Twist and Shout,” “She Loves You,” “I Want to Hold Your Hand” and “Please Please Me.” The following week, the same five songs placed between 1 and 9. Drake’s new album “Scorpion” launches at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with the biggest week of consumption for an album in 2018. “Nice for What” rebounds from Number 6 to Number 1 for an eighth total week at the top of the musical mountain. Drake has five new Hot 100 top 10s for a total of 31 in his career  passing Michael Jackson for the most among male soloists; one of those new top 10s, “Don’t Matter to Me,” features the late great icon MJ, who earns his 30th top 10. Drake has 27 songs overall on the July 14-dated Hot 100, breaking his own record for the most simultaneously charted titles. All 25 tracks from Scorpion appear on the chart. The only non Drake tunes in the Top 10 include Cardi B, Bad Bunny and J Balvin’s “I Like It” which drops to Number 3 after topping the chart a week ago. Maroon 5 featuring Cardi B “Girls Like You,”slips to Number 5 on the Hot 100 from its Number 4 peak and rounding out the Hot 100’s top 10 is XXXTentacion’s “Sad!” falling from Number 2 to10. The formula for the Hot 100 is different than it used to be and now it blends all-genre streaming, radio airplay and digital sales data. Drake’s “Nonstop” starts at Number 1 on Streaming Songs with 58.6 million U.S. streams, becoming Drake’s record-extending sixth leader on the list.
