Death Of Austin Powers Star Verne Troyer Ruled Suicide By Alcohol Intoxication

The death of Austin Powers star, Verne Troyer, has been ruled a suicide. Troyer, who played Mini-me in the movies, died from sequelae of alcohol intoxication. That, according to the Los Angeles County Department Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office. The actor was rushed to a hospital with possible alcohol poisoning in early April, and then passed away about three weeks later on April 21.  He was 49.  Tests showed Troyer consumed about three times the legal limit of alcohol before he was taken to the hospital.  A friend told police and paramedic dispatchers at the time that he appeared to be very upset, drunk and suicidal.
