Conor McGregor said “After Saturday August 26, I will be a god of boxing.”He will attempt to end Floyd Mayweather’s 49-0 unbeaten record at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Mayweather says Conor’s confidence won’t matter when the bell rings. Last week a photo surfaced on the internet showing what appeared to be a knockout during a sparring match with Conor McGregor and Paulie Malignaggi but Paulie claimed he was pushed and the photo wasn’t as it seemed. Dana White believes in UFC boy and released some sparring footage that shows Conor in action against the former IBF and WBA World Champion. After the video was posted Paulie tweeted “Pushing my head down with right hand as he’s dragging me in that direction by then throwing the left, the push down is with right hand.” He sent out many tweets and defended himself saying the “knockdown” was a “dragdown” and said Conor’s camp is spinning this as a win but there was no official knockdown in the 36 minutes sparring match. Paulie admits McGregor won the last two rounds but not the fight. Malignaggi says this is an edited version of the match and the video clip Dana White posted does not show that the ref Cortez signaled that it was not a “knockdown.” Are you impressed with McGregor? Do you believe the fighting Irishman’s hype and do you think he has a chance to knockout and beat the undefeated Floyd Mayweather?
