Damage to Motel Room Leads to Drug Charges for Orangeville Woman

Orangeville Police have arrested and charged a 44-year-old Orangeville womam with drug related charges after she damaged a motel room early Friday morning.

On March 2, 2018, around 9:30am, police received a call from the owner of a motel on west Broadway reporting damage to a room that had occurred overnight. Police arrived on the scene arrested the woman after witnessing the damage.

A short time later, police were called back to the motel by the owner regarding items left in the room by the arrested woman. Police obtained a search warrant and found a quantity what they believed to be cocaine, as well as various drug paraphernalia.

As a result of the investigation, Veronica Theresa Stahurski was charged with several criminal offences including Mischief Under $5000, Possession of Cocaine, and two counts of Breach of Probation.

She was held in custody pending a bail hearing in court.
