Last Saturday she teased that something new was going to air during the half time commercials of the wildcard game between the Falcons and Rams. The new track is called “The Champion” Fred Gaudelli the executive producer of Sunday Night Football on NBC approached Underwood last year to write an inspiring song. He told VARIETY at the time “I think it’s going to become a sports anthem. It’s going to be one of those songs that you see cut to highlights for the next 25 years.” The lyrics are very fitting considering what Carrie has been through the past few months since her accident “I am invincible, unbreakable, unstoppable, unshakable.”Carrie posted pictures of “Invincible” and “Unbreakable” on her social media and said “#TheChampion coming January 12, #SBLII.” The song is scheduled to appear at the beginning of Super Bowl LII on Sunday, February 4 at 6:30pm. Pink has been confirmed to sing the “Star Spangled Banner” and Justin Timberlake who just released a new track “Filthy” last Friday and will be live in Toronto March 13 at ACC is headlining the Superbowl halftime show Sunday February 4, 2018 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
