You’ve heard of a “Parade Of Champions” well this wasn’t one of them. Every team strives to win a and hold a celebration for their city! Cleveland held one in 2016 when the Cavs won the NBA title but they will have to wait a little longer for their NFL team but that didn’t stop hardcore fans from holding a celebration or protest Saturday outside of FirstEnergy Stadium. The road to Superbowl 52 is underway but once again the Cleveland Browns are not involved in post-season action and haven’t won a championship since 1964. Last year they went 1-15 but there was promise and hope and went undefeated 4-0 during preseason but the team tanked in 2017 and had a perfectly imperfect record going 0-16. The Browns haven’t made the NFL playoffs since 2002 when they lost 36-33 against the Steelers in the AFC wildcard game. Fans united outside their stadium with a sarcastic ‘perfect season’ parade and held tombstones of former quarterbacks and signs saying “They Tried” “We still love you” “Im with Stupid…Ticket Holder” “There’s always next year” “Bury this season” and many more. Fans criticized owner Jimmy Haslam, over the perceived mismanagement of a team that has only on win in 32 games the past two seasons. Meanwhile former Cleveland Browns QB the controversial Johnny “Football” Manziel has been cleared to play in the CFL and The Hamilton Tiger-cats say they have offered him a two year contract and now waiting to see if he will accept it.
