Australian Puppy Kicked Out Of Police Training For Being Too Friendly, Gets New Job In Governor’s Office

Gavel, a German Shepherd in Queensland, Australia, was recruited as a puppy to be a police dog. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for Gavel because Police said, he “did not display the necessary aptitude for a life on the front line.” In other words, Gavel was too friendly! He’d rather play with people, than sniff out explosives. LOL! Well, the cutie has a new job – Vice-Regal Dog. The position was given to him by the Governor of Queensland. It's official! Gavel's duties include welcoming guests and tour groups to Fernberg, and having an official presence on certain ceremonial occasions.
