Another Black Bear Sighting In Durham Today

Several black bears have been sighted in the northern part of Durham Region, prompting police to issue an advisory to residents.

Last week, a black bear was spotted by the North Durham Community Police in Port Perry, north of Oshawa. Others have been seen in the town of Georgina.  Black bears are normally not dangerous and generally avoid people, but are attracted to food and will eat almost anything.

At last check, the bear was spotted today near the Pringle Creek area. Exercise caution and stay away if spotted!
