It’s no secret Marineland has faced their issues with the morality behind their attraction and the treatment of animals kept in captivity for the sake of entertainment. Over the years, many protests, backlashes and negativity cast a shadow over the park with the notion that it is inhumane.
Picketers even took to standing outside of the gates day after day with signs saying things such as, “Not everybody loves Marineland,” with pictures of the animals mocking the ever-popular jingle.
The Niagara Falls attraction actually had 11 counts of animal cruelty charges against them, and they were all recently withdrawn as the Crown said “most charges didn’t have a reasonable chance of conviction,” after their independent formal investigation.

Ontario doesn't license / regulate zoos & aquariums, so the province remains powerless to shut this place down. Very very bad. https://t.co/FUOJQKtPZf
