This is a little unsettling. We are just now learning that an asteroid traveling at 66,174 miles an hour came pretty close to Earth on Sunday, just hours after it was noticed. The asteroid is named 2018 GE3, and it was first observed at Arizona’s Catalina Sky Survey on Saturday night. Soon after it was noticed it skimmed past Earth getting within 119,500 miles of it. It was what they call a medium-sized asteroid had the potential to do regional damage, experts said.
