The Advisory Against Romaine Lettuce Has Been Dropped

An E. coli outbreak linked to romaine lettuce that killed one person and sent 17 others to hospital … appears to be over. There have been 42 reports of illness in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador, but the Public Health Agency of Canada says there have been no new cases since December 12th. The agency says the cause of the contamination has not been confirmed, but it is no longer advising people to stay away from romaine.
