
Wow. How does this even happen? The Boston Marathon happened on Monday, and winners were sent an a congratulatory e-mail from the race sponsor, Adidas. Unfortunately, it wasn’t thought through.

Yes – you’re reading that correctly. “Congrats, you survived the Boston Marathon!”
Obviously the e-mail wasn’t well received. You may remember back in 2013, 3 people were killed and over 260 were injured in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.
Adidas has since apologized for the e-mail, releasing a public statement via social media:
